Don Braben is a well known Marine Artist and Vice-President of Australian Society of Marine Artists.

He has exhibited his award winning work at major marine shows in USA and UK and has held solo exhibitions in Australia, UK, Japan, France and New Caledonia. His work is in many private and corporate collections worldwide.

Don prefers to paint in watercolour but is at ease with other media. Inspiration is drawn from contemporary maritime activity and Don has been artist in residence on several voyages notably with the Royal Australian Navy, CSIRO and AMSA all of which have resulted in solo exhibitions.

After lecturing in Art since 1960 Don retired to concentrate on his own work in 1997.
